Mike is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as well as a United States Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach. He also holds Level 1 and Olympic Weightlifting certifications through CrossFit.
He has been an athlete all his life, playing collegiate football and rugby. He is also a 3x CrossFit Games Regional athlete. Coaching is his passion, not his hobby. He believes in the power of the positive psychological imprint training brings to an individual and the lessons it teaches.
During his athletic years Mike has been fortunate to train under/learn from the following: Jimmy Nolan, Kevin McNair, Mike Burgener, Brian MacKenzie, Melissa Metzke, Carl Borg, Gavin MacMillan, and Steve Dugger. His other influences are Dan John, Greg Everett, and Mark Twight.
